Inter Milan are leading the race to land Crystal Palace target Olivier Giroud.

The Chelsea forward is keen to leave Stamford Bridge in search of first team football as he looks to boost his chances of making it to Euro 2020 with France.

His current deal is up in the summer but with just two starts under Frank Lampard, reports linking him with a move away have increased with European giants Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund joining Palace in keeping tabs on the situation.

Despite the Eagles reportedly willing to make the Frenchman one of the clubs top earners, FCInterNews claim the Nerazzuri, managed by former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, is the 33-year-old preferred destination.

Giroud would be willing to take an 18-month deal at the San Siro, despite wanting a two-and-a-half-year deal elsewhere.

Reports say Dortmund have already entered talks with the World Cup winner’s representatives but a move to the Bundesliga doesn’t excite the former Arsenal man.

Chelsea will be reluctant to let a proven goalscorer leave the club, but with Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi ahead of Giroud in the pecking order it’s thought he will force a move away in January.
