Charlton have recalled Abie Morgan from his loan spell at Ebbsfleet United.
The 19-year-old extended his initial month-long loan but has now returned to The Valley.
Making five appearances and scoring once, the midfielder impressed at Stonebridge Road and would be welcome back by manager Kevin Watson should the opportunity arise in the future.
“Albie has thoroughly enjoyed his time with us,” he said.
“He’d come back in a heartbeat if the opportunity presented itself or Charlton let him out again but it’s out of our hands and we thank Charlton for all they’ve done in letting us get him in on loan in the first place.”
Midfield was an area of concern for Lee Bowyer’s men with George Lapslie the latest of the midfield contingent joining the injury list after aggravating his hamstring injury.
Jonny Williams, Sam Field and Jake Forster-Caskey are all still sidelined.
Morgan will be available for Cardiff City’s visit on Saturday.
