Crystal Palace fans are split over Max Meyer.

The German was introduced into the fray against Leicester City at the weekend with 15 minutes to go for Cheikhou Kouyate.

Already a goal down the former Schalke man was thrown on by Roy Hodgson to salvage something from a disappointing day at Selhurst Park.

Jamie Vardy added a late goal to Caglar Soyuncu’s effort on the hour as Meyer produced a forgettable cameo.

The 24-year-old started the opening two games of the season but has once again fallen out of favour under Hodgson and has only managed two substitute appearances since August 18.

Despite having a limited time to influence the game, many Palace fans felt the former German international isn’t up to the standard required for Premier League football.

Then there are those that believe Hodgson and the tactics are to blame for not getting the best out of him.
