Alexander Sorloth’s Crystal Palace career looks over as Trabzonspor look to re-negotiate a deal to sign the forward permanently reports say.
Sorloth was sent on a two-season loan to the Turkish outfit in the summer and the forward has flourished.
Scoring six goals in nine games so far this season, the Norwegian has equalled Trabzonspor’s 24-year record for number of goals scored at the start of the season.
Having been involved in nine goals in total, including an injury tome equaliser at Basaksehir at the weekend, Trabzonspor are looking to seal a deal before the end of next season.
If the 23-year-old were to leave it would be a stark turn around in events for the man Palace paid £9million to Midtjylland for in early 2018.
Just one goal in 20 appearances the forward found himself out of Roy Hodgson’s plans and told he could go on-loan.
A six-month spell at Gent at the back end of last season paved the way for Trabzonspor to hand Sorloth a two-year deal, a major factor in his rise he told Norwegians TV2.
“It good with the two-year loan,” he said.
“I can remain calmer and do not have to think about moving.
“Because thinking about my next move was stressful.”
A clause in the loan states that the club would have to pay £6million for the forward at the end of next season should he make more than 25 appearances, a forgone conclusion at this rate.
With that in mind Trabzonspor are looking at making a deal this January at a lower fee.

I'm actually intrigued to see what we do with Sorloth at the end of 2020/21 when his loan expires. We're still gonna need a striker(s) as Wickham won't be fit, Benteke and Ayew will be 30. The U23s aren't good enough.
Sorloth scored again, I'd probably care if Ayew wasn't such a baller... #cpfc

Bringing back Sorloth right now is the last thing we need, let him enjoy his season elsewhere it’s not as if he’d even start over Ayew if he came back
