Lee Bowyer has been handed a three-game touchline ban and fined £4,000 for admitting an FA charge.
The ban will see the the Addicks boss watch his side's upcoming fixtures against Derby, Bristol and West Brom from the stands.
Bowyer admitted a charge of improper conduct and/or questioning the integrity of the match official following following Charlton's 2-1 defeat to Swansea at The Valley on October 2nd.
"I'm surprised and disappointed with the ban." Bowyer told the club website.
"I didn't shout or swear in my discussion with the referee but it is what it is.
"My focus remains making sure we are ready for Saturday's game against Derby County."
