Ian Lenagan has stepped down as chairman of Harlequins Rugby League after assuming a similar position at Wigan - but his parting gift is to agree to underwrite the Stoop club financially for the next two years.
His gesture ensures the future of the club, and means they can start a new era with confidence under their new chairman, longtime fan Keith Hogg, and chief executive Paul Brown - also chairman of South London Storm - who fills the role recently departed by Nic Cartwright.
