Crystal Palace are ready to delve into the transfer market according to sources.

Laden with a hefty kitty following Aaron Wan Bissaka’s £50million move to Manchester United last week, it’s thought Roy Hodgson and Steve Parish are ready to offer £20million for Fulham’s Jean-Michael Seri.

Fulham paid Nice £27million for the 27-year-old only 12 months ago, but having failed to avoid relegation to the Championship they will expect to take a loss on the Ivorian.

Inter-Gala-Lyon-Napoli chase

Currently on international duty at the African Cup of Nations, Seri is understood to want to leave for top flight football with a host of clubs interested.

Galatasaray, Inter Milan, Lyon and Napoli are thought to all want a loan deal for the midfielder who registered one goal and three assists in 32 appearances for Fulham, leaving Palace as front runners as they have the money to broker a permanent deal.

Midfield is an area that Palace do have numbers, with Luka Milivojevic, Cheikhou Kouyate, James McArthur, Max Meyer, and Jeffrey Schlupp all deployed in the centre of the park by Hodgson.

The emerging Nya Kirby is also expected to get a chance this season meaning Seri’s arrival is not a necessity, but it would be a shrewd move to get a player who was linked with Europe’s elite a year ago in a cut price deal.
