Macauley Bonne is expected to sign for Charlton Athletic from Leyton Orient.
The 23-year-old striker is expected to join the Addicks on a four-year deal for a fee believed to be around £250,000.
The former Colchester ace joined Orient in 2017 and has scored 45 goals in 90 league appearances, including 23 in a season which saw the Orient secure the National League title.
England-born Bonne has represented Zimbabwe and can play out wide or up front.
Bowyer, who is yet to resolve his contract dispute with the club despite revealing he hopes there will be positive news this week, has often said it will be a ‘busy’ transfer window and that they will need to be ‘creative’ due to their financial restraints.
