Here’s how the Charlton players rated from their play-off semi-final second leg penalty win over Doncaster Rovers.

(Not great, but they're off to Wembley!!!!!)

Dillon Phillips 6

Looked less than confident with the ball at his feet, finding touch on more than one occasion. Question marks for the second goal, maybe should’ve claimed it. Important save late on through a crowd of players.

Anfernee Dijksteel 7

Got forward down the right but looked exposed defensively with little protection from his midfield. Ran aimlessly when in possession. Under pressure looks far from confident. That said, made two fantastic tackles deep in his half.

Patrick Bauer 7

Hesitated for the opening goal leaving a big hole which Tommy Rowe exploited superbly. Marshalled Marquis well which seemed to be his sole job of the evening.

Naby Sarr 7

A few heart in mouth moments during the first half when he looked to play his way out of the back. Made one well-timed challenge on John Marquis which was needed, or he would’ve seen red.

Ben Purrington 8

Charlton’s stand-out performer in a first half where everyone looked nervy after the equaliser. Handled Mallik Wilks pace and trickery well. Solid at the back but getting forward he’ll need to improve his delivery.

Krystian Bielik 8

Great header for the opener but overplayed when in possession which Lee Bowyer has said is his weakness. Looks so classy when it comes off.

Josh Cullen 6

A wicked delivery for the opener but a few uncharacteristic stray passes from the middle-man in a first 45 that wasn’t his finest. Corner taking left a lot to be desired.

Joe Aribo 7

A class above. Looks so comfortable in possession. Played further forward than we’re used to, almost like a central striker. Destined for big things.

Albie Morgan 5

Left-wing, midfield, he looked unsure on positioning, often drifting central leaving Purrington exposed. Battled well, but his day will come.

Josh Parker 6

Same as last week he chased and harried. Didn’t get a lot of service to be a goal threat but dragged his side up the pitch when he could. The fans notice his work-rate.

Lyle Taylor 6

Doncaster’s bruising Andy Butler shadowed him around the park in the opening half and nullified Charlton’s star-man well. Got frustrated in the second half but won several free-kicks which dragged his side up the park.

Subs:

Darren Pratley – (46’) 7

Sured up a porous Charlton team at the break and offered a steeliness in midfield with a robustness Morgan doesn’t offer. Poachers goal from the wily fox.

Jonny Williams (94’) 6

Few poor decisions when on the ball but was one of few players who looked for it and tried beating a ma.

Chris Solly (110’) N/A
