Epsom & Ewell Harriers had 19 junior athletes representing their Borough in the London Marathon Borough Challenge which took place over the final 3 miles of the marathon course.

Riona Stockley, representing Kingston, produced one of her finest performances of the season to complete the 3 mile course in 18 minutes 24 seconds to claim a super silver in the u13 girls event against the best runners in London.

Together with Sophie Desmond (25th) and Poppy Mitchell (52nd), she helped Kingston to an excellent 4th position out of the 33 Borough teams.

There was also a fine performance by Sophie Osborn who finished 25th for Sutton while Chloe Royle was 53rd for City of London out of 188 runners.

In the older age groups, Issy Stockley also had a fine run to finish 12th in the u17 girls race.

Kiara Valkenburg had a strong performance to finish 26th in the u15 girls, with Brooke Taylor (33rd), Iris Brown (38th) and Lily Pearson (45th) also claiming top 50 finishes.

The top performance by the boys was from Rory Mackenzie who finished 66th for Kingston in the u13 boys race.
