Aaron Wan-Bissaka deservedly picked up the Fans and Player’s Player of The Year gongs at the clubs end of season awards bash on Tuesday.
Overlooked for the Premier League Team Of The Year, the 21-year-old right back walked away with both awards at Croydon’s BoxPark attended by players and fans alike.
His impressive showings in a stand-out year has catapulted the Academy product to the top of the league’s power houses' wishlist.
With more tackles won, more interceptions, and more successful take-ons than any other defender in 34 league appearances, his stats justify why hiss teammates and fans gave him their vote.
"It's a real honour," said Wan-Bissaka.
"I really didn't expect this but I'm happy to have won this.
"I'm very grateful to Roy Hodgson and his coaches, I can't thank them enough for giving me the opportunity.
"It means a lot. I'm going to have to make space for the awards!"
In an indifferent season the Palace number 29 has been a shining light as Roy Hodgson’s men look to finish the season strongly with a trip to Cardiff before seeing the season end at Selhurst against Bournemouth a week Sunday.
Needless to say Andros Townsedn walked away with the Goal of The Season gong, with 91% of the vote for his volley in the memorable 3-2 win at Manchester City.
