Crystal Palace’s Mamadou Sakho has cast fresh doubt over his Selhurst Park future.

There were rumours at the beginning of the season regarding the 29-year-old's future after he suggested he wanted to play Champions League football and earn a re-call to Didier Deschamps French squad.

The January transfer window came and went and the 2017, £26million singing from Liverpool remained, but with the rumour-mill soon to be kicked into overdrive, his recent comments on French football magazine show Telefoot will surely stoke up interest from potential suitors.

“I am enjoying myself at Crystal Palace, but in life you never know what will happen tomorrow," said Sakho.

“I am not especially thinking about EURO 2020 but everyone who knows me knows that I am ambitious.

“The best thing for a player is to start in Ligue 2, Ligue 1, then the Champions’ League and the national team.”
