Brentford manager Thomas Frank firmly believes Ezri Konsa will be a Premiership player.
After his commanding display in their 1-1 at Millwall on Friday, the 21-year-old centre-back’s stock will have risen again after a season which has seen him linked with Arsenal, and recently Crystal Palace.
A dip in form after defensive partner Chris Mepham was sold to Bournemouth in January, the former Charlton man returned to his impressive self and ‘bigger’ clubs are starting to take note.
“I think Ezri is a very good, talented player who will become very good,” said Frank.
“I understand why there’s interest.
“I think he will learn a lot from playing one more year in the Championship.
“There’s still a lot of things that he needs to develop, and it’s a big step to go from League One to Championship to Premiership.
“I think he will go there one day, he just needs to decide if he wants to go there with us, or go there with another club in the future.”
