As the dust settles on what may have been for Millwall on their FA Cup adventure, Lions fans would be forgiven for having a grudge against Brighton.

One man who has escaped the wrath of fans however is Glenn Murray, a man who is adored wherever he goes it seems.

He scored against his old club Crystal Palace in the A23 derby a fortnight ago and out of respect he muted his celebrations despite the fierce rivalry between the two sides, a respect that was reciprocated by Palace fans.

So his actions following Brighton’s triumph in the thrilling FA Cup quarter final at The Den will come as no surprise.

As most know the match finished 2-2 and Brighton went on to win the tie 5-4 on penalties.

With Brighton players running off to celebrate with goalkeeping hero Matt Ryan, Murray was seen turning around and consoling the Millwall players on the half way line.
