Millwall’s winning streak come to an end after two goals in the final five minutes saw the Lions fall to their fourth home defeat of the season.

A lapse in concentration saw Adam Armstrong assist Joe Nuttall in the 86th and then score on of his own in the 87th minute.

The defeat sees the Lions dip down to 20th in the league table, five points adrift from the relegation zone.

Here is how the Newsshopper rated Millwall’s players….

Jordan Archer – 6

The Lions keeper did not have anything to do until the 86th and 87th minute as Blackburn failed to register a shot on target prior to then. The visitor’s goals came at him thick and fast, he could do nothing about either of them.

James Meredith – 5

The defender was solid in the first half by keeping Craig Conway at bay however the lapse in concentration by the whole defense in the closing minutes meant that the fullback’s earlier efforts were forgotten about very quickly.

Shaun Hutchinson – 5

Seemed to be thrown off by the interchanging strike partnership of Bradley Dack and Joe Nutall in the opening minutes but had a satisfactory performance until the final five minutes.

Jake Cooper – 5

The most exciting moment from the central defender came when he hoofed the ball over the terraces and into the trading estate in the second half, a shadow of his former self throughout.

Mahlon Romeo – 5

Linked up really well with Jed Wallace down the flank but his lack of quality in the final third meant that the full back was unable to make a definitive impact on the game.

Shane Ferguson – 6

The winger put a shift in for this dull fixture, a good performance all round. However, he was unable to unleash the same quality which witnessed him score two stunning goals off the bench against Hull last week.

Ryan Tunnicliffe – 7

It was a verification of his game when Bradley Dack was substituted early in the second half. The Lions midfielder smothered him and the Rover’s man cut a frustrated figure as a result.

Ryan Leonard – 6

At one point he was seen to run 30-yards to close down David Raya in the Blackburn goal and then seconds later he was tackling Bradley Dack on the edge of the Lions area. On 61 minutes his rasping 30-yard strike forced Raya into making a good save.

Jed Wallace – 7

His trickery and flair caused Blackburn problems all evening, his excellent crosses just failed to be met by any of his team mates.

Aiden O’Brien – 5

The striker went missing for long periods during the game and then seemed to take one touch too many whenever he found the ball at his feet.

Tom Elliot – N/A

An awkward tumble saw the striker substituted in the opening minute clutching his arm.

Subs:

Steve Morison – 5

Elliot’s shoes seemed to be too big fill as the veteran striker failed to win any of his aerial duels and was dispossessed more often than not.

Lee Gregory – 5

Despite being supposedly ruled out for the fixture, the striker was introduced to bring some attacking firepower in the second half which he failed to provide.
