Here is how Crystal Palace's players rated in the 0-0 draw with Cardiff City.

Vicente Guaita

Had very little to do but looked composed when he needed to collect. Made a great stop late in the game which earned his side a point. Looking more and more like Palace’s number one. 7

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Such a player. Looked a real threat down the right and already looks like he’s been around the top flight for a decade. Growing in to one of the right backs in the league, the only criticism is that his end product could be a little better. 7

James Tomkins

Back in the fold and back to his imperious best next to Sakho. With Scott Dann back fit again the former West Ham knows he’ll need to be on his game or there’s a ready replacement waiting. 6

Mamadou Sakho

Not tested by the blunt Cardiff strike-force and didn’t let them get in the game. That was up until the Frenchman had a moment of madness and presented the Bluebirds with a golden opportunity. Will be thanking his keeper for saving his clean sheet. 6

Patrick van Aanholt

Got forward plenty but his decision making in the final third was poor. Not tested too frequently at the back allowing him the space to get forward. Always works well with Zaha down the flank but not the Dutchman’s best offensive display. 6

James McArthur

Similar to his fellow midfielders, he was guilty of being wasteful in possession. The usually astute Scotsman seemed a little off the pace and couldn’t get the better of Cardiff’s resolute defensive wall. 6

Cheikhou Kouyaté

Missed a great opportunity early in the second half which would’ve changed the game completely. Cardiff seemed to grow in confidence after that. He on the other hand, was extremely quiet. 5

Luka Milivojevic

Denied a great goal by the post after a sublime free-kick. But again, wasteful in possession and similar to all Hodgson’s midfield, looked short of ideas in breaking down a well organised defence. 6

Max Meyer

Found like difficult against a physical Cardiff side and was pulled off on the hour. With Cardiff sitting deep the German found it difficult to find the through ball needed to cut through a back seven. 5

Wilfried Zaha

Always looked like the most likely for Palace and Cardiff knew this and doubled up on the star. Looked frustrated being the furthest forward and being relied upon each week to create. 7

Andros Townsend

The man who is on fire had a very quiet game. Wasted a host of chances which early in the first half which set the tone for the day. 5

Subs:

Connor Wickham

Great to see the big striker back in the mix and nearly got off to the perfect start but blazed over. Looks a little rusty but also looked hungry to impress. 7
