Lyle Taylor has passed a late fitness test to start as Charlton continue their playoff challenge against AFC Wimbledon today (December 15).

A collision with Ben Thompson in injury time during the Addicks’ win over Portsmouth on Tuesday left the striker doubtful for this weekend.

He exited Fratton Park in a protective boot, and boss Lee Bowyer confirmed the 27-year-old had undergone an X-ray exam to ensure there wasn’t any further damage.

But Charlton’s second leading League One scorer, with nine to his name, will face AFC Wimbledon for the first time in League One this season.

Karlan Grant suffered a hamstring injury against Pompey during midweek and has not made today’s starting 11 alongside George Lapslie who had a mild concussion.

Bowyer has made three changes to the team heading into this afternoon, with Nicky Ajose getting the nod alongside Chris Solly and Tariqe Fosu.

Toby Stevenson, Brendan Sarpong-Wiredu and Recco Hackett-Fairchild are all on the bench.

Meanwhile, ex-Charlton striker and the Dons’ leading scorer Joe Pigott is not fit to feature against his former club.

The 25-year-old, who has four league goals and seven in all competitions this season, is out with a thigh injury alongside captain Deji Oshilaja (ankle).

Charlton’s fixture with AFC Wimbledon today will kick off at 3pm.
