Scoring seven goals so far this season, Lee Gregory's start to the 2018-19 season has been his best so far in a Millwall shirt.

Despite an impressive return in a struggling side, Gregory offers much more to Millwall than just goals.

His work rate is second to none, you would think he runs on treadmills in his spare time. Countless times this season the striker has created chances for himself just by hunting down defenders and getting his body in the way.

His improved performances could have been provoked by the million pound signing of Tom Bradshaw in the summer, and it is a testament to Gregory’s form that the ex-Barnsley man has only started two games before tearing his ACL in November.

Fine Wine

Gregory, now 30, seems to have add something else to his game. Harris last season criticised the striker for not scoring enough goals in and around the six yard box. Yet, Gregory’s goals against Ipswich, Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forrest have all come from that area.

Like a fine wine the ex non-league striker is improving with age, proving how important he is to Millwall during the first half of the season.

Since his arrival to the Lions in 2014 the striker has netter 57 times, and Harris will be hoping he'll add to that as they find themselves in a relegation fight.
