The January transfer window looks likely to be a busy period for Roy Hodgson and Steve Parish at Selhurst Park.

Following Palace's 3-1 defeat at Chelsea, Hodgson finds his side 14th in the league and has often commented on his desire to add to his ranks in January.

But, could the best bit of business be keeping hold of their in-demand players.

Going Out

It has been rumoured that Manchester City amongst other big hitters, have been circling around the highly impressive Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The 20-year-old right back has won Palace’s player of the month for consecutive months so far this term and his form has not gone unnoticed from the league pace-setters.

Kyle Walker and Danilo currently occupy the flank at the Etihad but many believe the Palace academy graduate could be the long term successor for the Champions.

With the transfer window a little under two months away, one thing is for sure is that Palace will be looking to keep hold of one of their ‘crown jewels.’

Coming In

Rumours around who’ll be coming through the Palace gates never seem to drift far away from Ruben Loftus-Cheek who had a successful season on-loan last year.

With his game-time limited at Stamford Bridge, Hodgson would be more than open for the midfielder’s return but it has been thought that Maurizio Sarri is against letting the 22-year-old leave as Chelsea battle across four fronts.

Another name that could make the switch across London is that of Danny Welbeck.

It’s thought the England international is getting annoyed with being on the periphery of Unai Emery’s first XI and is looking for regular game-time.

With Hodgson eager to add to his miss-firing strike force Welbeck could be the solution.

A £10million bid is expected for the former Manchester United man, but again there won’t be a shortage of offers for Welbeck with Newcastle, West Ham and even fierce rivals Tottenham keeping tabs on the striker.
