A dramatic 1-1 draw at Griffin Park. A fiery second half which saw Birmingham finish the game with ten men and their manager shown red.
How did the Brentord boys fare?
Luke Daniels: Made some fine stops before Birmingham’s goal which he could do nothing about, had little to do second half. 7
Lewis Macleod: Kept Maghoma very quiet all game and gets better every game he plays. Turning into a real player. 7
Chris Mepham: Another accomplished performance but did get caught out in possession after trying to run the ball out of defence. That said, can’t see this Brentford side competing without him. 7
Sergi Canos: Quiet first half but became increasingly involved in the game. Made some great runs second half and came close with a couple of efforts. Has that special quality. 6
Neal Maupay: Tireless running and did the job of two strikers. Great control, touch, and brings players in to the game. A real asset and not afraid to put a boot in.7
Josh McEachran: His first goal! Let that sink in. A real classy player, always demanded the ball and looked to go forward at every opportunity. Sadly could not pick that killer ball against a blues side who shut up shop. 8
Alan Judge: Caused havoc in the first half and baffling as to why he switched wings. Was quiet there after. 6
Romaine Sawyers: Came too deep to collect the ball and played across the park rather than towards goal. Missplaced a few passes. 6
Henrik Dalsgaard: Looked suspect in possession. Heart in mouth moments every time. 5
Ezri Konsa: Forming a good partnership with Mepham. Not much to do second half but when called upon did it with a plomb. 6
Yoann Barbet: Nearly popped up with another late goal which was possibly the only time he was seen on the pitch.6
