Sutton United face a tough trip to either Brackley Town or Barrow in the third round of the Buildbase FA Trophy on February 3 following Saturday's 3-0 victory over Hendon.

The Bostik Premier League high fliers gave a good account of themselves at the Knights Community Stadium before United's class eventually told.

Keiron Cadogan made the most of some sloppy defending in the 36th minute to put the U's ahead when he fired low into the net from a tight angle.

The game was still in the balance until until the 74th minute when Adam Coombes pounced on a wayward defensive header to unleash a powerful right-foot volley from 18 yards that flew past Hendon goalkeeper Corey Addai.

With five minutes remaining Tommy Wright continued his rich vein of form by adding a spectacular third. His shot from the corner of the penalty area curled past Addai's desperate reach and into the net via the post.

The draw for the last 16 is harsh on the U's who visit Barrow for a Vanarama National League fixture on January 26.

They will have to make the 620-mile round trip once again the following Saturday should the Cumbrians win Tuesday's replay against Brackley who are currently third in National North.
