Walton & Hersham manager Mark Hams is not surprised Corinthian Casuals are in the Ryman Division One South play-off race.
Boss James Bracken’s men are six points adrift of the top five, but have games in hand on many of their rivals.
They are well on course to break their record points haul of 58 in a season – set last term under former boss Matt Howard – and Hams says it is down to one man.
“Never underestimate James,” said Hams, whop celebrated his first win as Swans boss on Saturday after securing a 3-2 triumph over fellow struggler Peacehaven & Telscombe.
“He is very clever and is very good, tactically. I’ve got so much time for him. He has a good squad and it is no surprise they are doing well for him.”
Casuals host Faversham Town on Saturday, while Walton host Herne Bay.
