February: Brentford announced League One promotion winning and Championship play-off chasing boss Mark Warburton, above, would leave the club at the end of the season, following a dispute over player recruitment. The Bees marked the news with a 3-1 win over Premier League bound AFC Bournemouth
March: England and Chris Robshaw might have missed out on winning the Six Nations in World Cup year, but Waldegrave School teacher and Richmond Ladies player Jackie Shiels, above, ended the month smiling as she lifted the Women’s Six Nations title with Ireland – on points difference ahead of France
