Andrius Jaksevicius might have won the Bushy Park parkrun battle on Saturday, but St Mary’s Richmond Athletics Club’s Mark Gratton won the war.
Gratton, 38, was crowned the year’s highest male points scorer on the 11th anniversary of the iconic weekly 5km time trial and was presented with his trophy by parkrun founder Paul Sinton-Hewitt CBE.
Ramona Thevenet collected the women’s crown with Zoe Dennison and James Hoppe claiming the junior titles.
Belgrave Harrier Jaksevicius was first to finish for the 18th time on Saturday in a time of 16 minutes 22 seconds, with Hercules Wimbledon’s Claire Grima [17:57] leading the women home.
More than 1,100 athletes took on the 592nd running of the Bushy Park parkrun on Saturday.
