England Head Coach Brian Ashton today confirmed that he will be taking a 32-man squad on England's summer tour to South Africa.

The squad departs England on May 15 and will play the Springboks in two test matches in Bloemfontein on May 26 and Pretoria on June 2.

Quins' Nick Easter and David Strettle are expected to be in the squad after performing well in the Six Nations' Championship.

Other Quins who wil be awaiting the announcement, and the following day's England Saxons announcement for the Churchill Cup, include Stuart Abbott Mike Brown and Stuart Abbott.

Ashton said: "Now that the finalists for the Heineken Cup and European Challenge Cup have been confirmed, I have a clearer idea of the players available to me who I can consider for the summer tour to South Africa.

"I will spend the next few days considering all my options before making any final selection decisions after the forthcoming Guinness Premiership matches this weekend.

"I'm absolutely delighted that Leicester Tigers and London Wasps have reached the Heineken Cup final and that Bath Rugby are in the European Challenge Cup final and it's a tribute to all those involved at the clubs that they have achieved that feat."
