Harlequins senior academy defeat Warrington Wolves in their first home fixture of the season, as Arthur Lane reports' A good start by Harlequins and with only five minutes of the game gone from Quins first attack they made good yards and hooker John Sullivan darted over from dummy-half to score, this was converted by Tom Bold.

Warrington found it tough to make any yardage and after some good work by the Quins forwards the ball passed through several hands to reach Tyrone Smith who shrugged of two opponents to score out wide. Kick converted.

Quins almost scored again through Tyrone Smith, but this time the Tongan international was deemed to be held up over the line.

Most of the half was played in the middle of the pitch as both defences worked hard.

But an intercept try scored by Warrington and conversion made the score 12-6 to Quins.

Just before half-time Quins went down to 12 men as Joe Walsh was sin-binned.

Despite being down to 12 men the Quins started as the better side in the second half and from the restart moved the ball up field and again from 1m out, with John Sullivan again forcing his way over from dummy half, kick converted.

Warrington's forwards tried all they could but a resilitant Quins defence held out and after 30 minutes again the ball was moved out wide for Tyrone Smith to score his second try, although this time Bold was unsuccessful with his conversion attempt.

With the game now was beyond Warrington and with only five mins left a loose pass was intercepted by Warrington to score but it was a case of too little too late for the away side.
