Worcester Park CC chairman Ian Burrows claimed his side are going all out for promotion to Surrey Championship Division One after missing out last term by just three points.
The Green Lane side open their new campaign on Saturday with the visit of Cranleigh, who were promoted as champions of Division Three last season.
Burrows said: “The club are looking forward to another positive season with the main aim of the first team being promotion to Division One.
“We are now established as an ECB focus club, and have achieved clubmark accreditation. We’re able to field four sides again this year, which is a sign of the continuing growth through the age groups.
“Most of the first team here came up through the age groups, and we have an exciting breed of new young players complementing the more experienced hands.”
Worcester Park skipper Rob Waite said: “We’ve finished third in Division Two for two seasons running so I guess this is a case of third-time lucky.
“We have got a few young lads coming in, including Scott Payton, from Southern Railway & Kenley.
“Scott is young, but is a well-known name on the cricket circuit.”
