Dons boss Neal Ardley has sent his troops to Las Vegas to celebrate not busting out of League Two, but talks over contracts will begin when they return.

The club is holding its end of season dinner on May 11, and Ardley said he will sit down with the players the following week so he can get started on pre-season work as soon as possible.

He said: “I want the boys to enjoy the next few days together because they deserve it, and then we will talk.

“We’ll talk about where we want to go and the mindset I want the players to have so they know exactly what they will be coming back to.

“We knew it all hinged on the Fleetwood game. Some would not want to be playing conference football – but we’ve got to this point, and now we can sit down with people and put things in place.”
