If you are travelling on trains in south west London this weekend then perhaps this information will be useful to know.

South Western Railway (SWR) has revealed where seveal areas will be affected across the part of the capital, including Kingston, Richmond, Wandsworth, and Wimbledon.

Below is the most up-to-date information provided by the transport provider at the time of writing (April 5).

- Buses replace trains in the Barnes area (April 8)

Some lines between London Waterloo and Clapham Junction – including part of London Waterloo station – and all lines in the Barnes area will be closed all day on Sunday.

Platforms five to eight at Vauxhall, as well as platforms seven to 11 at Clapham Junction, will be used by SWR.

Trains could leave London Waterloo from different platforms as normal, so you are urged to check the displays at the station.

Queenstown Road station will have no service and passengers are advised to use other stations nearby.

But most trains will run both to and from London Waterloo, however, they might run at a revised timetable or could be affected by work taking place elsewhere on the network.

Several services will be altered and commuters may need to change their trains or buses to complete their journeys:

- London Waterloo and Reading trains will be diverted between Clapham Junction and Twickenham, also calling at Kingston and Wimbledon

- An hourly train service between London Waterloo and Windsor & Eton will be diverted between Clapham Junction and Twickenham, while calling at all stations through Kingston and Wimbledon.

- Hourly train services will run between Richmond and Windsor & Eton Riverside, as well as between Kingston and Richmond.

- Buses will run between Clapham Junction and Twickenham, which will connect with the above train services.

- Train services will now run between Kew Bridge and Woking through both Hounslow and Staines.

- Buses will also be running between Clapham Junction and Kew Bridge, connecting with the above train services.

- The circular services, to and from London Waterloo via Kingston, and the afternoon services between London Waterloo and Kingston via Hounslow, will not be running. You are advised to use other train services and replacement buses.

- Buses replace trains between Surbiton and Effingham Junction (April 8)

Train lines between Surbiton and Effingham Junction will be closed all day on Sunday.

The train service between London Waterloo and Guildford, via Cobham, will not be running.

But buses will run between Surbiton and Effingham Junction.

You are advised to use other train services to connect with these buses.
