If X Factor has a disco music night this year Ben Haenow would be a perfect choice to sing Car Wash, as this exclusive photo shows.
The hotly tipped contestant was once just as at home holding a sponge as he is with a microphone as he helped out a friend with a fundraiser.
Back in 2008 he and some of his friends teamed up with dance teacher Lizzie Searjeant to raise £150 for Facing the World by washing vehicles in the car park of the Marks & Spencer store in Blackheath, south east London.
Dressed in 80s garb they made sure the cars were squeaky clean so they got as much money as they could for the charity.
The money raised was to be used to fund a concert in aid of the charity, which helps provide surgery in the UK for children from developing countries who have facial disfigurements.
