Twickenham Studios is officially in the hands of Twickenham Studios limited, after the sale was completed this week.

Owner Sunny Vohra and chief operating officer for the studio, Maria Walker, can now move ahead with the proposed changes for newly named Twickenham Studios, which include refurbishment, increased level of security and to introduce tours of the studio and film nights.

Completion of the sale took place on Wednesday, August 8, for an undisclosed sum.

Administrator at Begbies Traynor, Gerald Krasner, on behalf of the joint administrators, said he was pleased all the jobs at the studios had been saved and it would survive to see its centenary next year.

Pamela Godfrey, PR and marketing consultant for Twickenham Studios, said: “Yesterday was an exciting day. We had a party for the staff and the tenants to celebrate the sale being finally complete.”

The owners chose to change the name of the studios from Twickenham Film Studios to Twickenham Studios to appeal to attract a wider market.
