Residents in Kew look set to have a new addition to their riverside views following the announcement Brentford Football Club have bought a site for its new community stadium.
The football club plan to build a 15,000 capacity stadium on a 7.6 acre site in Lionel Road, Brentford, across the river from Kew Bridge, after buying the plot of land from Barratt Homes on Thursday, June 28.
Initial plans for the stadium allow for the option of extending capacity by an extra 20,000 seats in future so more Bees fans can enjoy watching their team play.
