On Friday, November 19, special events and fundraisers will be taking place across the country to raise money for Children in Need.

As part of the day, the Children in Need Appeal show airs every year to help raise awareness and share an evening of special entertainment for the nation. 

With a range of exciting one-off shows, performances, and surprise cameos from some of the biggest names across the planet. 

Who's hosting the Appeal Show this year? 

This year, the show will be presented live from the BBC's Salford studio and will have five different presenters throughout the evening. 

Big names include Graham Norton, Alex Scott MBE, Ade Adepitan MBE, Mel Giedroyc, and Chirs Ramsey. 

The well-known presenters will help raise money by encouraging viewers to donate throughout the show. 

What to expect from the show?

There will a number of special entertainment taking place on the appeal show this year.

There will be musical performances by Ed Sheeran, Tom Grennan, and the cast of the UK tour of 9 to 5 the Musical. There will also be a special episode of The Repair Shop where the team will carry out a unique restoration. 

Also planned is a Children in Need Graham Norton Show - Red Chair special, where celebrities take on the chair and a group of children decided their fate. 

Plus, Team GB and Paralympics GB will go head to head in a competitive school sports day task. 

If you're a gameshow fan, then you're in luck as there will be special editions of 'I Can See Yor Voice' and 'The Wall', with celebrities taking the stage to battle it out for the prize. 

Last but not least, there will be a one-off exciting episode of 'First Dates' as two soap legends look for love, as Eastenders Charlie Brooks and Coronation Street's Steve McDonald go on a date.
