Norbury Library lovers are already half way to collecting the 80 books they plan to present to the building to mark its 80th anniversary.
A street party celebrating the landmark, which is being run in association with the Save Norbury library campaign, will be held on May 21 featuring readings, raffles and cakes between noon and 2pm.
A list of books has been compiled by library staff for well-wishers to choose to purchase and donate.
Anyone interested in buying a book, which cost between £5 and £10, can email their three preferences to contact@norburygreen.co.uk.
