A man has been charged for the death of a West Norwood cyclist after a crash with a van in July.

Nigel Sloan, 65, died in September, nearly three months after being knocked over on July 15 in Peckham High Street.

Mr Sloan’s cause of death was given as a broken pelvis and pneumonia.

Min Lam, of Forest Hill, faces charges of causing death by driving without due care and attention, causing death by driving an uninsured vehicle, and failing to stop after an accident.

Mr Lam was given police bail and will appear at Tower Bridge Magistrates’ Court on January 18.
