The Croydon Cat killer may have stuck once again - this time in Purley.
South Norwood Animal Rescue and Liberty (SNARL) posted on its Facebook that a black cat had been found in a box next to Brighton Road on Sunday, with the words "dead cat" scrawled across the side.
SNARL said: "There were no signs of a road traffic accident and injuries were not consistent with such, although it is technically possible there was one.
"Potentially there are hundreds of people who may have seen the body and we would ask that if you did see it or see what might have happened, that you please contact us on 07957 830490 or 07961 030064.
"We are investigating this as most likely linked to the UK animal killer."
