Amongst the numerous tributes paid to Mr Marzetti, one social media user noted “how many hearts you have touched with your kindness.”
The occupants of the other vehicles – a black Renault Clio and a green Toyota Yaris – were uninjured.
A statement issued by Sussex Police on Friday said: "Anyone who witnessed the crash or who saw a blue motorcycle and a red motorcycle in the area shortly beforehand is asked to email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phone 101, quoting Operation Carnforth."
