A sixth form student from Greenshaw High School met deputy prime minister Nick Clegg to discuss fairer opportunities for young people in business.
Georgia Dowler, 17, was one of a group of students who spoke to Mr Clegg on January 12, to discuss a new initiative which will see leading British companies open their doors to young people from all walks of life.
Over 100 businesses and organisations have signed up to the Business Compact, Mr Clegg's scheme to create fairer opportunities in business.
They also had the opportunity to network with top business executives at the meeting.
The thirteen students are all taking part in the Career Academy programme at school which gives them opportunities to meet local employers, have a mentor, visit local businesses and undertake a paid summer internship.
