Children at West Ewell Infants School have been celebrating their global links this year working in partnership with schools in Uganda and China.
West Ewell Infants celebrated their joint partnership with Shanghai experimental kindergarten in China and the Golden Bell School in Uganda with a meeting from their respective mayors.
Children were then able to exchange messages and pictures of the event over the internet.
Two children from Chile then joined pupils at West Ewell in December to share their experiences from South America and to learn about life in the UK.
A spokesperson for West Ewell Infant School said: “The children are learning about valuing their own and the identity of others, the value of diversity, the concepts of fairness and justice and conflict resolution.
Staff, governors and parents at West Ewell believe the fun and practical way the work is approached and the very real links with partner schools enables the children to identify and begin to understand the concepts that will eventually make a more peaceful world.”
