Controversial Free Schools proposal will be unveiled by parents of a Christian church this evening.
Members of Doxa Deo, which meets at the David Lloyd Centre in Raynes Park, want to provide a new primary school within the Wimbledon, Raynes Park or Motspur Park area.
This evenings's event will reveal more about the plans and is being held at Hillside Church Wimbledon, 37 Worple Road, SW19 4JZ from 7 to 9pm.
Ioannis Dekas, pastor and member of the proposed school's steering group, told the Wimbledon Guardian in March: "We would provide something different that could help address the dire need for educational institutions in the borough."
"We would be an inclusive school - we want to serve the whole community, not just serve our needs."
On our letters page, Merton's Labour spokesman for education, Councillor Peter Walker has reiterated his opposition to coalition Government-inspired Free Schools and indicated the Wimbledon House Free School plan will not go ahead.
