Pupils from a Streatham school visited the Houses of Parliament to see members of the new Government sworn in.
The eight and nine year olds from Streatham and Clapham High School met new Streatham MP Chuka Umunna, and watched live proceedings at the House of Commons.
They could not visit the House of Lords because of security preparations for the Queen’s visit.
Year 4 teacher, Rachael Watson, said: “Our girls will look back on this trip in a few years time and realise how lucky they have been to visit the Palace of Westminster at such a moment of history.”
