Potions and transfiguration are subjects normally left to Harry Potter books, but Greenacre School for Girls decided to bring some Hogwarts magic to life.
To mark National Science and Engineering Week, 24-30 March, the Science Labs became 'Greenwarts Academy for Magicians and Muggles' for a 'Science is Fun evening'.
Children and parents enjoyed hour long lessons in Potions (Chemistry), Transfiguration (Physics) and Organisms (Biology).
They learnt to make gooey slime, created magic mist and even helped the wizard police investigation team by extracting DNA from fruit.
The children said that seeing the tiny organisms under the microscope was 'really exciting' and loved making gooey slime.
One also said: “The coloured flames were great- like fireworks!”
