These sprightly ladies, from the Alton School in Roehampton, are to run 5km next month in memory of a colleague lost to brain cancer.
Staff, teachers and friends of the school will take part in the Race For Life in Richmond Park on Sunday, June 28, to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.
The team, made up of 20 members, will don their specially-designed T-shirts, displaying the face of much-loved Tracie Taylor, who worked at Alton School for 20 years.
Team member Anne Marie Mitchell said: “Tracie worked at Alton as a nursery nurse for 20 years, and she is sorely missed by her family, friends and all at the school.
“Race for Life is the perfect platform for us to remember those who have been affected by cancer, whilst doing something practical by raising funds to help with cancer research.”
The race, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary, is for ladies only.
