Children at Manby Lodge Infant School said goodbye to their headteacher as the school year came to a close on Wednesday.
Claire Witham left the Weybridge school after 18 years and, to mark the occasion, children presented her with gifts, including a magnolia tree.
The pupils also gave Miss Witham a card full of messages written by them as a reminder of her time at the school.
At the last assembly, the outgoing headteacher presented the children with some new wheelbarrows to enjoy using during the autumn term.
Jo Patridge, deputy headteacher, said Miss Witham would be greatly missed and the whole school wished her a happy early retirement.
