Schoolboys have buried a time capsule containing football trading cards, a school tie and a Warhammer figurine among other items to encapsulate life today.
The capsule was buried in the foundations of a new school building at Priory Preparatory School in Bolters Lane, Banstead, on Wednesday.
It also contains a recording of some boys talking about what their lives are like and everything that is current including Andy Murray, computer games and technology.
Headmaster Graham Malcolm said they are very excited about the development of the new building, which will house eight classrooms.
Mr Malcolm said: "We are looking forward to the future. We have buried the time capsule so that people in the future can see how we live today. It’s a historic document."
