A primary school enjoyed a medieval makeover last week- when pupils watched knights in shining armour compete in a jousting tournament.
Hillcross Primary School, in Ashridge Way, Morden, invited the Knights of Middle England to help them launch Learning in Style – a new addition to the school’s creative curriculum.
Pupils, parents and teachers enjoyed a medieval-themed day complete with costumes, historical learning and interactive workshops.
Children will be taking part in a six-week project learning about all aspects of medieval life from falconry and archery to Morris dancing.
The school will host a medieval summer fair on Saturday and a medieval concert and banquet on July 12.
