Claremont Fan Court School enjoyed another successful evening at the Young Enterprise programme, held at the University of Surrey.

The highly competitive event saw nine companies compete for prizes and a place in the south-east finals next month.

Claremont Fan Court was represented by Cake-in-a-Jar and all 17 team members were invited to attend.

After setting up their trade stands, each company was interviewed by the judges and presented their business summary to 200 people in less than four minutes.

Companies also submitted a company report and TV advert prior to the event.

Cake-in-a-Jar walked away from the evening scooping prizes for best TV advert, best represented company and the Ellen McArthur Circular Economy Award for environmental awareness, which also won the team £200 and a trip to the National Grid.

Making a lasting impression, representatives of the company have been invited to a 50th anniversary reception at which they will be presented to His Royal Highness Prince Edward the Earl of Wessex and other key business executives from Surrey.
