School children were given an early Christmas present from Santa this week at the official opening of their new playground.
Bond Primary School in Mitcham celebrated the opening of their new play area alongside their Christmas fair with the Mayor of Merton, Councillor David Williams, cutting the ribbon.
The playground is split into two zones - active and reflective play – and features a woodland trail, stepping logs, natural boulders and newly painted climbing frames as well as a decking area which doubles up as a performance stage for drama.
