There is reason to celebrate at Wilhelmina House.

That is because the Croydon care home has been named as one of the 20 best in all of London by review site Carehome.

A score out of ten is given based on based on reviews from residents, plus relatives and friends.

The ranking is based on reviews from those living a the home, their relatives and friends.

Wilhelmina was near perfect, earning a 9.8.

This was much to the delight of house manager Deborah Pearson.

"We are thrilled to have received so many excellent recommendations that we have now been recognised as a top 20 care home in London by carehome.co.uk," she said.

“The reviews are testament to the highest standard of care provided by my staff team who go above and beyond to create a warm and caring community for our residents.

"I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to review our services.”

The reviews consider everything from cleanliness, food and drink, dignity, activities and value for money.

One review, taken from CareHome.co.uk, described some of what led to the care home being named to this year's top 20 list.

“Wilhelmina House provides a warm, comfortable, secure home to my grandmother," it said.

"The staff are all friendly, approachable and highly professional.

"I am confident that my grandmother is happy and being cared for to the highest standard. I always feel welcome and have complete peace of mind that my grandmother is in the best place.”
