Although the first residents won't be moving in for at least another six months, and construction is still under way, the first image of what the new Sanderstead retirement complex has already been revealed.

The site in 33-36 Sanderstead Court on Addington Road will comprise of one and two bedroom apartments, for those aged 60 and over, with the first homeowners expected to move in come autumn this year

McCarthy and Stone is the driving force behind the new complex that will feature a club lounge and a guest suite.

Regional sales and marketing director for McCarthy and Stone South East, Georgina Akers, said there had been a "significant level" of interest shown so far.
